Peanut butter my new lover

Things that I am loving this week.

1. PB&Co:  I'm fairly certain my coworkers will soon give up on "Abby" and just start calling me "Peanut butter fingers".  Most people are sure they have their phone, keys, wallet when they leave for work.  I make sure I have a jar of peanut butter.  And sometimes, a bathing suit, which I forgot this morning and had to turn around for this morning.
Today's restock... let me just go add those to the 5 already in the pantry.
2. My foam roller: I love this thing so much I could sleep with it.  IT Band, hamstrings, quads, TFL, piriformis, gastrocs, traps, spine...  Seriously, if it can be rolled, I have rolled it this week.  I also got the go ahead to do some no-incline ellipticalling this week.  Can't wait to see how that goes!
Where have you been all my life?

3. My morning commute time: While I'd much prefer something less than a 40 minute drive each weekday morning; there is a perk to the long drive.  I can run out the door with fresh-from-the-shower soaking wet hair piled on top of my head... and have it dry and decent looking by the time I park my car!
I do not endorse driving downside up.

Gobble gobble

Everyone has their place in the family.  Mine is to make the most ridiculous edible concoctions and feed them to my large extended family.  Mission accomplished.

Wednesday night started out with one last stop at the grocery store (which was surprisingly not busy probably because I was in the boondocks outside the city), and I was ready to go with these ingredients.
Which soon turned it to this funky looking alien baby.
Then thought it may be cruel to not give the poor thing some feet.
What, no ankles?
But only before beheading the creature and boxing him up.  This picture still makes me laugh, easily amused by the idea of turkey mafia.
In case you were wondering, that same container returned home filled with this.
Oh Almond Torte how I love thee, let me count the ways.
After a few hours and a huge amount more work that I was far too sleepy to chronicle.... I was able to assemble this masterpiece at my grandparents' house on  Thursday afternoon.
It was my first Pinterest find that I actually brought to life, and I think I kicked the butt of those Pinterest versions too!  I'm fairly certain my family has now labeled me equal parts crazy and genius.  My uncle suggested hiring neighborhood kids to assemble the shish kabobs next year, and I wholeheartedly agree!

Confession: This is just the Iphone picture I took, but I demanded the hubs get in there for some professional quality shots of me and my wobbly gobbler.  That amount of crazy can't go undocumented.

And on that note- I had an incredible Thanksgiving full of food, family, repeat for 11 hours straight.  Simply blissful!
